The Independent System Operator for New England (ISO-NE) has selected EnerNOC to achieve 157MW of demand response capacity.
EnerNOC will implement its technologies and solutions to help industrial and large commercial consumers in the Forward Capacity regional market to reduce energy use during times when demand is high.
The deal increases the demand response capacity which EnerNOC has been tasked to achieve in New England, from 101MW to 157MW for the 2021/2022 period.
The contract marks the entrance of EnerNOC into the Connecticut and Vermont demand response markets.
Francesco Venturi, Head of Enel X, owners of EnerNOC, commented: “Through this award we are delivering on our growth strategy in the advanced energy solution sector, while also expanding our geographical footprint and strengthening our lead in the US demand response market.
“With this additional capacity we will be able to deliver predictable revenues for our commercial and industrial customers, while also helping ensure the reliability of the New England power grid.”
